We wake up in a beautiful place. As there is nothing planned today, we decide to take advantage of the landscape ! Backpacks, picnic (zero waste of course), sunglasses and off you go for a hike. We walk in the maquis, we bathe in the creeks and we track down the fish in the shoals.

~ Corsica ~
05/24
Heading towards Ajaccio. It's windy, it's nice to set sail ! We dodge a fishing boat that made us a fish tail … OUF ! We still enjoy the view of the Corsican coast with its limestone cliffs. We arrive in Ajaccio at night, port Tino Rossi. We furl the sails to the tune of " Petit Papa Noel ", we moor the boat to a slightly dubious dangle, and we go to rest a little because tomorrow we have our work cut out.
05/22
Today, we have a stand in front of the brand new captaincy of Bonifacio ! On the program, games for children on the theme of marine biodiversity, educational posters on the circular economy, and demonstrations of our scientific equipment. The memory is a hit with the little ones ! At 6 p.m., it's the conference. We are welcomed in the brand new premises of the harbor master's office… what a view ! We talk a lot with boaters who have traveled to meet us. Beautiful day for ecology !
05/23
This morning, we climb to the very top of the city. We have an appointment in a class of CM1 for an awareness workshop. We are really impressed by the students, true experts in the marine environment and environmental protection. Hats off to the little Corsican !
05/27
Before returning to the mainland, we do a short scuba dive in the Gulf of Ajaccio. There's no shortage of fish here ! We manage to recognize 6 or 7 different species…
Zero waste laundry recipe
Since Faro, we had not taken the time to ride a machine. In other words, a good laundry was more than necessary! We give you here the recipe for our laundry detergent that works miracles. For 1 liter of detergent:
1L of water
1 tablespoon of soda crystals
20g Marseille soap flakes or homemade shavings
20g liquid black soap
A few drops of essential oil for the smell (we have become a fan of lavender)
In a saucepan, put all the ingredients, EXCEPT the essential oils (as for the shampoo), and bring to a boil. Leave to boil so that a little water evaporates and, on cooling, the preparation has the consistency of a gel. When the preparation has cooled, pour it into a bottle, add the drops of essential oil and shake. When using, mix the bottle well and pour a glass directly onto the laundry.

05/25
A class of CE2 comes to visit the port. Come on, a little workshop. These little ones are clearly the best informed about plastic pollution ! We show the boat around, and Florian even gives a little seamanship lesson with the students!
