06/25
~ Awareness raising in Provence ~
06/28
Today, we look up from our screens : it's Sarah 's birthday! We find a good restaurant to celebrate, then we let ourselves be tempted by the local yellow drink…
26 and 27/06
The return to land is also the return of emails to the inbox. We spend most of the time on the computer. This week, we're going to send Isa the Seagull's latest flight log to subscribers, it makes our hearts ache… We spent a lot of time writing these stories ! We got very attached to the character of Isa, a learned old seagull with a certain sense of humor, and we are proud of the messages conveyed by these stories !
06/29
The night before we landed is simply magnificent. No, we can't see the stars, nor the luminescent plankton. In fact, we can hardly see anything except the tip of our nose : a thick mist envelopes the boat, it is even difficult to discern the position lights of the Lab_cc781905-5cde-3194-bb3b- 136bad5cf58d_! It's very dark, we're completely soaked, but it's not cold tonight. The Lab advances in a mystical atmosphere, one would almost expect to see the Black Pearl appear… The mist slowly dissipates with the arrival of day. We arrive in Sanary-sur-Mer in the early morning, it is still a little damp. We moor the boat at the port, not far from a real fleet of lateen sails, and we disembark to enjoy the market ! It must be said that we were getting a little tired of Spanish pâtés and cheeses, not very spicy for our taste ! We have fun with Provençal specialties while remaining faithful to our zero waste challenge !
We leave Sanary-sur-Mer around 10 a.m., and head for the port of Bandol (we discover a music very adapted to the situation, because we are in the middle of a big train strike_cc781905-5cde-3194- bb3b-136bad5cf58d_: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u2ueOo1jE2w).
06/30
We get up around 7 a.m. to prepare the stand. We manage to find a shady corner not far from the harbor master's office, but there aren't many passers-by… next to the captaincy, and there, there are people ! We'll take a look to see what's going on : it's the club's end-of-year regatta, and they're inviting us to move our stand to the club's premises, on the beach, in front of the dinghies ! The day could not have gone better : we are on the beach, in the shade of barnums, surrounded by sailors, and the little ones from the sailing club are very cultured_cc781905-5cde-3194 -bb3b-136bad5cf58d_! The memory is still a hit, as well as the game of the 7 differences between cetaceans and fish. One of the little ones offers us apricots from her garden, a real treat… We each have our favorite for the regatta ! We watch the race with envy, we would have participated with Le Labo too. The day ends with the award ceremony, and we go to watch the France-Argentina match in the first bistro. That ends the day in style !
07/01
Only 2 weeks left before the end of the expedition… ! We have work to prepare for the awareness events that await us in Toulon, next week promises to be quite dense.
Zero waste shopping at the market
