After a week in Port Saint Louis du Rhônes where we received an extremely warm welcome and took the opportunity to restock all our supplies, it's time to leave for Corsica. Flo warns us, it won't be like the last time, it will even be quite calm for this crossing. We follow the creeks of Marseilles with the motor. It's very beautiful, so we still cut our good Perkins for dinner and to see the coast one last time before two days of sailing.

~ Crossing the Pelagos sanctuary ~
05/20
Quarter of Marie and Marine. It is 5:30 in the morning and after reflection the big clouds on our left are actually the Corsican mountains. The sun rises just behind, it's beautiful. The day promises to be beautiful.
In the afternoon, after our samples, we decide to take some time for ourselves. Dip for all the girls in more than 2000m of bottom. It almost makes you dizzy to look down. Finally, we arrive at night in Bonifacio. The cliffs look stunning. Strongly the day to see them more! In the meantime, first catch on the line: a little cut (yum)!
05/19
In the evening, we stop the boat to take our samples. Everything is perfect for the Gyroplastic buoy, a little less for the closing net. We realize that one of the springs to close the net is broken. While Flo is irritated on it and tries to find a solution, we hear the breath of a whale. Quickly, we shoot this beautiful Rorqual photo, and we plunge the hydro into the water. Finally, the net is repaired and the whale leaves. One hour of observation, happiness. Not to mention that for dinner, a gigantic group of dolphins hunts not far from us. You can even see the youngsters getting out of the water. Needless to say, we are lucky!
05/17
Our mission for the day: recover all the jars prepared by Lulu for the expedition, which are quietly waiting for us in Montpellier. We jump in a rental car, we go to Montpellier, and we somehow manage to contain everything in the car! Arrived at Port-Saint-Louis-du-Rhône, we quickly realize that it is the biggest refueling since the departure from Brittany!
To sterilize your homemade jars:
Prepare your dish as usual
Fill your jars and close them with their rubber
Put your closed jars in a large pot full of water so that the water level comes above the lids
Let the jars boil for 3 hours, checking the water level from time to time
A little note on zero waste on board
